Kerastase and Sebastian thermal protection solutions

By now, we are all aware that we have to protect our hair when using heat on it. Either when blow-drying it, or when using curling and flat irons tools on it.

I have 2 products that I am pretty found of: Sebastian Trillant (thermal protection and shimmer complex spray) and Kerastase Ciment Thermique (vita ciment topseal) a heat - activated reconstructing milk.

I was drawn to Sebastian shimmer complex at first, due to its watermelon scent and then I discovered how great it really is.
You have to give it a good shake every time you spray your hair with it, in order for the inside liquids to blend. I apply it on damp hair and either leave my hair to air-dry or, if in a hurry, I use a hairdryer. It brings a lot of body to my hair, nice movement and shine as well. I sometimes use it on dry hair as well, to add extra shine and to be completely honest, to add a light watermelon scent to it. I love it!

The Kerastase ciment thermique, is a leave-in cream that I apply on damp air, on mid-lengths and ends of my hair. Besides protecting my hair from heat styling tools, this one is repairing your hair as well. I find that when I am using it, before curling my hair, it makes my curl lasts longer and on normal use it also helps my hair look smoother and with a nice shine to it.

I have been using Kerastase products for the past 4 years and have to say that it make my hair feel more healthier, but I also do like the Sebastian product for the lovely scent, that makes me feel like is summer all year round.

Give it a try. I purchased these products online from amazon or feelunique.

Phyto 7 daily hydrating cream

Phyto 7, hydrating day cream with 7 plants is a leave-in conditioner which will calm your frizz immediately, while having your hair looking hydrated and with a natural shine.

Its all pure and natural plants do their magic at first touch. I use a pea-sized amount of this cream daily on dried hair, either by itself, or if I feel I need extra moisture, I will combine it with a hair oil as well.

It does not make your hair feel heavy and its formulated for daily use. I even have it in my purse, in case I need extra moisture during the day as well.

I ordered mine online.

Pores NO more. Benefit and Kiehl's solution

This is what is going to happen if you try any of these products: you will see your pores disappear, the efficiency of the products will surprise you and you might start receiving compliments for your skin! Now you know ... so expect greatness!

When you get stopped by a random stranger on the street, telling you that your face is soooo cute ... you start realising that the makeup artist from Sephora had it right when she recommended you to use: a moisturiser, a pore minimising solution and a dewy foundation for achieving a fresh, luminous, perfected skin.

If you are comfortable with the silicon base primers look after Benefit, the POREfessional balm and if you prefer a non-silicon product, try the Kiehl's Rare earth pore refining tonic, which can also improve your pore appearance on the long run. I cannot vouch for the long run thing, but on the day you use them, they definitely do their magic!

Sometimes I use these on the no-foundation days as well, for a smooth skin.

The POREfessional balm I use after applying a light layer of moisturiser cream all over my face. I wait 2-3 minutes and then I apply my chosen foundation for the day.
This can also be used on top of foundation, with a patting motion and taking time to blend the product into the skin.

The Kiehl's pore tonic has clay in it, so, you have to give it a good shake prior to using it. When mixed, you can place a generous amount of tonic onto a cotton wool pad and start buffing it into the T-zone or if you suffer from all-over oily skin, just use it all over the face. If you place it only on your T-zone, be sure to apply a cream on your cheeks as well, a hydrating or a luminizing one, you decide! Then apply your foundation and voila!

Beside helping with your pore appearance, both products help your make-up stay longer on your skin.

You can try them at local stores and you can also find them online (Benefit POREfessional, Kiehl Rare earth pore refining tonic).

Gommage, or no Gommage?

I would recommend...to gommage from time to time! At least once a week or when you think you need one. For the past months, for the gommage session, I have been using these two, each for different reasons.

The Clarins, Smoothing Body Scrub is great if you want a perfectly clean scrub type of product, which you use after your normal shower gel or cream or why not mixing them up and apply them together, your shower gel with your scrub product. And, just massage it in! It contains bamboo powders, which is very handy if one has rough, flaky skin to work with. Then you will get the clean from the shower gel/cream and the scrub will just offer you a soft, smooth and in the promotion it says firm as well, but I would recommend some gym time for a visible firming skin! If you get my point...

The L'Occitane, Shower Scrub is a cleansing and exfoliating in one. Which for me is genial. And the smell is great for both men and women, so its a safe one to have in the shower for a non-flowery smell type of person as well. It leaves a light, fresh scent to the skin.

Both are great products, but the one that I find myself reaching the most is the L'Occitane one, because beside cleansing, scrubbing my skin, it does not leave it with a dry feeling. I usually follow it, either with my Avene balm (which I talked about in this post) or with my Lush Body Conditioner (about which you can read in this post).

I am all about clean, scrubbed and hydrated skin! Who isn't?

Try these products in-store or purchase them online from sites like amazon (Clarins, L'Occitane).

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

Elizabeth Arden 8 hours cream has been a cult since 1930s and is famous as a soothing and moisturising skin protectant lotion today.

I have been using it for almost 3 years and is the cream that I use daily, all seasons and it has made my life easier.

You cannot go wrong with it, as long as you go for the fragrance free one.

I use this balm mainly for lips, I have not had dry lips since I bought this one, it is the only cream that I take with me everywhere, on the sky slopes, on the beach, I have one in my purse all the time.

I add shine to my cheeks and I apply it on dry patches as well. In winter, I also use it to calm my skin after being in windy, snowy weather.

It definitely is a all purpose product, because it can also be used on browns to keep them in place, use on cuticles to keep them hydrated and smooth, it can smooth rough heels and soften soles for barefoot beauty. Isn't it wonderful. I totally understand all the awards that it received over the years!

If you want to read how it come to be names 8 hours cream, check out this link.

Try it at any Elizabeth Arden counter in your city. It can also be purchased online from feelunique.com.

La Roche-Posay: Effaclar Duo

I have dry skin all year around, but as far as I noticed I am prone to blemishes as well.

Have struggled with all kind of anti-blemishes sticks and creams, until I read about this product from La Roche-Posay, Effaclar Duo and decided to give it a go.

This bottle is magical!

You will need nothing else than this, if you suffer from blemishes from time to time. In the beginning I started using it after cleansing, in the evenings and mornings all around my face. After just 1 week, my skin was cleared.

At the moment, I am using it, just when needed and mostly locally, on the existing blemish or on the area which looks like something might appear during night. It is incredible when used as a preventive tool, I do not know exactly how it does it, but I do call it my magical cream!

It does what it promises, its unclogging blocked pores, correcting the appearance of blemishes and refines the skin texture. Non-sticky, non-oily finish which creates an excellent base for make-up.

I purchase mine from the local Pharmacy, in Copenhagen, but it can be purchased online from Amazon as well.

Masque Creme Fraiche

What would a girl do without her face masks?

I have been using this one from Nuxe all over my face, daily as night treatment. Masque Creme Fraiche de beaute is a 24h soothing and rehydrating fresh mask.

It contains plant milks and white blossom, and have to say that it smells divine. It makes you relax to the depth of your souL! It's like having an aromatherapy session every time you use it. Totally addictive!

It's my new favourite thing for a good night sleep.

It can also be used just for 10 minutes for quick results.

I still use the Ultra repair instant oatmeal mask from First Aid Beauty, that I talk about in this post for when I need an instant result and have no time to spare.

I purchased mine in Magasin store in Copenhagen, but I checked for online options, and it seems it can be ordered from Amazon as well.
