The solution for sensitive-dry skin comes from French pharmacy

For sensitive and dry skin people out there I have a suggestion.

Since I started cycling on a daily basis few years ago, my skin texture has changed from normal to sensitive-dry skin. All the itchiness and dry patches have made me try all kinds of products from Body Shop to L’occitane range. No real success though. I decided that its time to ask for professional help, so I went to a dermatologist. Experiencing this meeting and after reading about her suggested products online, I decided that I will give it a go!

As a side note, I should mention, that I have dry skin all around my body, so it was recommended to use special designed products for sensitive skin all day long, even when I am just washing my hands. As my dermatologist said it, if I want long term skin recovery I should be consistent in my approach.

First, I should talk about Eau Thermale Avene Trixera+, emollient and cleansing gel, soap free, paraben free, fragrance free for very dry sensitive and atopic skin. Avene is a well-known French dermo-cosmetic brand dedicated to each level of skin sensitivity and each product contains the Avene Thermal spring water, a unique ingredient whose properties have been endorsed by dermatologists over the years.

After showering with Avene’s Trixera+, I have been using the Eau Thermale Avene Trixera+, Emollient balm, a very rich texture that is specially formulated for moderate to intense skin dryness and eczema in infants, children and adults. This balm has repaired, calmed and soothed my sensitive skin for the past 4 weeks like nothing before. I would have to say that I think, in my humble opinion off course, that the combination of gel and balm is the winning formula for my so very sensitive skin.
I was never as prepared for summer as I am right now.

Together with this winning combination from Avene, I started using another French pharmacy legacy product, from La Roche-Posay, Cicaplast Baume B5. This soothing, multi-repairing balm solves skin irritations problems in adults, children and babies and can be applied to body, face and lips. Paraben free. Fragrance free. Lanolin free, white mark free, so I can usually go out the door after applying this cream on my rough patches, because this is how bad my skin was, rough patches and all that comes with that. Cicaplast baume B5 is great for chapped lips as well, for men and women, as has no color, just moisture.

I also know that when you find something that works, you should stick with it. Besides the healing properties, I discovered another big advantage, the fact that is fragrance free, makes me feel my chosen perfume in a cleaner, a more powerful way!
